Help the Gutierrez Family Rebuild After Tragic Fire
Donation protected
My name is David Luke, and I’m honored to call Sam Gutierrez not only my friend but my brother-in-arms. Sam and I served together in the 173rd Airborne Brigade during a combat deployment to Afghanistan. Today, I’m starting this fundraiser on his behalf to support his family as they face an unimaginable challenge.
On Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, the Eaton Fire devastated Altadena, California, destroying homes and uprooting lives. Among those affected were Sam, his wife Alexa, and their two young children—with their third child due in April. Alexa, a kindergarten teacher in the Colton School District for the past nine years, and Sam, a disabled veteran, lost everything: their home, their belongings, and their sense of stability.
The Gutierrez family is currently staying with relatives but urgently needs assistance to relocate and rebuild. The funds raised will go directly toward helping them cover immediate expenses, such as:
*Temporary housing and relocation costs
*Clothing and personal necessities for the family
*Baby supplies for their growing family
*Household essentials to help them start over
Sam has already given so much to his country, and Alexa has dedicated her career to shaping young minds. Now, they need our help to navigate this heartbreaking situation and rebuild their lives.
Every donation—no matter the size—makes a difference. If you’re unable to give, sharing their story is just as impactful. Thank you for your generosity, compassion, and support for the Gutierrez family during this incredibly difficult time.
Let’s come together to remind Sam, Alexa, and their children that they are not alone.
