Hello my name is Michelle Vandever, I'm a part of a small rural community. I'm a neighbor of the Haiar family, and pass their home everyday when I take my daughter to school. Today their family home is surrounded by firetrucks and smoke.
Why I'm fundraising
The family was able to get out of their burning home, and everyone is safe. However, they left with only the clothes they were wearing. The home is still smoldering, and they have three children. Two sons, 5 and 8 and a daughter 12 (it is her birthday today). The children were standing in the snow, with no shoes as they watched the firemen work to put the fire out.
I can only imagine the terror, they must have felt.
The impact of your support
In this season of giving, we have a unique opportunity to directly impact a family in our community. The funds raised will go directly to the family, in support of immediate needs such as clothing, personal care items etc.
