Help my family to escape genocide and evacuate Gaza

My name is Rebhya Jawad. I live in Riverside, California, and my family is in Palestine. I want to disclose that this fundraiser has been vetted and is officially supported by the local group Riverside4Palestine.

I am creating this GoFundMe for my niece's husband's family, who are trapped in Gaza, enduring genocide. They hope this fundraiser will allow them to flee from Gaza to Egypt, which currently costs roughly $7,000 per person, though the situation is dependent on the Egyptian authorities.

My niece's sister-in-law "Hanadi Salha" is married to Mohammed, and they have three children: Jamal, Karim, and Amir.

They were a happy family, enjoying a good life, but suddenly, everything changed for the worse

This family has been displaced from their home since October 7th. They have evacuated five times, either within Gaza or when forced to relocate to the central and southern regions.

Let me share their immense suffering during these stages of forced displacement under attack and massive explosions. They couldn't find safety anywhere and were displaced from the north to the middle of Gaza (Al-Maghazy camp), then to Al-Zawayda city, and finally to Rafah city. At each of these locations, they were exposed to fear and attacks. They lived in tents, which they had to repeatedly set up, leading to exhaustion and additional expenses due to the high cost of transportation.

Finally, they decided to return to the beach in Deir Elbalah (Central Gaza), despite enduring heavy bombing.

Their home was destroyed by bombs. They had to flee on a moment's notice in October, with only the clothes on their backs; otherwise, they would have been killed. They have suffered many losses, including the death of their brother and his entire family, who were wiped out by bombs. They have had to walk over mass graves and corpses countless times.

They are trying to keep their children alive and safe, but there is no clean water, very little food, and their tent leaks in the rain. Environmental conditions are harsh, with cold nights and scorching days.

Hanadi and her children were injured by a nearby explosion that destroyed the neighboring displacement building. One of the children has shrapnel in their arm and needs surgery.

In Hanadi's words, she writes: After everything, we have lost everything. Our home was completely destroyed, our car was obliterated, and we lost our source of income and workplace at the start of the war.

Now, my children are suffering from a very difficult psychological state due to the daily fear and terror that haunts us.

I can never forget the terrifying moments when, by God’s care and mercy, we miraculously escaped death.

My children have been overwhelmed; they have been deprived of education, play, and the normal rights that other children enjoy. Now, they wake up each day and search for clean water from faraway places, collect firewood, and make fires for cooking.

There is no safe place. My brother's wife and his four daughters were killed when a building was completely destroyed, leaving us with deep psychological scars. We are desperately trying to prevent further loss and suffering in my family, they are experiencing of skin diseases in the huge lack of the care or medicine.

I hope I can move with my children to a safe place where we can live in healthy conditions and prevent any further risks. My children deserve at least the basic rights of all children.

I hope to get support for my family to achieve this goal, to prevent any more expected risks, and to escape the genocide.
