Help the Handal family! Ayudemos a los Handal!

If you know the Handal family personally, then you know what a ray of light they are for all those who know and love them. This loving family works hard and they are always there for whoever needs them.

A few years after getting to this country, they were able to finally find a house that could fit their needs and that they could call home.

Like any migrant family fighting for a dream, this achievement came at the high cost of extreme sacrifice, hard work, dedication and tenacity. Unfortunately their joy and excitement was short lived as just this last Saturday, July 15, their home caught fire while their oldest daughter, their granddaughter and their 2 dogs were in the house. The Handal Family lost pretty much everything - their home, their furniture, personal possessions and treasured memories.

You can only imagine the pain and devastation for this loving family. Yet in the face of adversity Ruben and Abde were above all filled with gratitude that first and foremost God had protected their daughter and granddaughter and although tragic, the fire didn’t take any lives.

Please consider a contribution to this page to help the Handal Family get back on their feet. Their immediate needs are pressing (finding a place to live) and the process to work through the insurance claim is challenging and time consuming. A little goes a long way and I strongly believe we can all come together as a community to make a big difference for the Handal Family.

Si conoces personalmente a la familia Handal, entonces sabes el rayo de luz que son para todos aquellos que los conocen y los aman. Esta familia amorosa trabaja duro y siempre están ahí para quien los necesite.

Unos años después de llegar a este país, finalmente pudieron encontrar una casa que pudiera satisfacer sus necesidades y que pudieran llamar hogar.

Como cualquier familia migrante que lucha por un sueño, este logro tuvo un alto costo de sacrificio extremo, trabajo duro, dedicación y tenacidad. Desafortunadamente su alegría y emoción duró poco, ya que este sábado 15 de julio, su hogar se incendió mientras su hija mayor, su nieta y sus 2 perros estaban en la casa. La familia Handal lo perdió prácticamente todo: su casa, sus muebles, sus pertenencias personales y sus preciados recuerdos.

Se pueden imaginar el dolor y la devastación de esta amorosa familia. Sin embargo, frente a la adversidad, Rubén y Abde están sobre todo llenos de gratitud porque Dios protegió a su hija y nieta y aunque es trágico, el incendio no cobró ninguna vida.

Te pedimos que consideres una contribución a esta página para ayudar a la familia Handal a recuperarse. Sus necesidades inmediatas son apremiantes (encontrar un lugar para vivir) y el proceso para resolver el reclamo del seguro es un desafío y requiere mucho tiempo. Un poco ayuda mucho y creo firmemente que todos podemos unirnos como comunidad para marcar una gran diferencia para la familia Handal.
