We’ve created this GoFundMe page to help the Haneys as they go through this difficult time.
Here’s what happened…The morning of October 31, 2019, Jack, Adrian, Hunter and Hudson Haney were at home, when Jack heard a crash sound from upstairs. He ran upstairs and found Hunter on the floor next to his bed. He was breathing, but unresponsive. That was the first of three seizures Hunter suffered that morning.
Hunter was immediately intubated and placed in a medically-induced coma and remained unconscious for five days. During that time, he underwent just about every test imaginable: MRIs, CAT scans, EKGs, EEGs, MRAs, etc.
On Day 5, Hunter woke up and was soon getting around. He was finally sent home on Day 8. It seemed as though the worst was over and Hunter was on the road to recovery, but after a couple of days, his condition worsened as he began to lose the use of his right side. He’s now at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
The Haneys can use all the help they can get, as they face ever-increasing and exorbitant medical expenses, as well as the ongoing care for Hunter.
In addition to all of this, Adrian lost her job a few months ago, so the Haneys are down to one income.
This is our opportunity to love, serve and support a family who means so much to so many people; and who are facing a very scary time. The future is still uncertain for Hunter and the Haneys.
