Help the Hansens Solve Rachel's Case
Donation protected
Rachel was nineteen years old when she was tragically shot and murdered in her apartment by an unknown person two years ago. After two years, with no new leads, suspects, reasons, or explanations, additional resources are needed to help facilitate some answers and possible leads.
I watched Rachel grow up from a young age and blossom in her newly fostered, then adopted family. We watched her train horses, ride them, and even chase them down the road when one got feisty. She always amazed me with her fearless demeanor, zest for life, unwillingness to be held back, and strong will. She was also very kind and generous to those less fortunate and took pride in collecting donations, clothes, food, and anything to help others in need. Rachel was recently engaged and ready to embark on her career and continue her passion for training horses. She had so much ahead of her and was looking forward to her next adventure in life.
Rachel did not deserve what happened to her, and her family and friends now feel helpless with limited options. We are concerned that the Gilbert Police Department has exhausted all its resources, as it was turned over to Silent Witness with no results.
Professional investigators are willing to donate their time and expertise to the case. However, forensic experts, attorneys, reward money for Slient Witness and other resources must also be utilized, which come with associated costs. The investigators involved will not profit from this fundraiser; all donations will go directly toward covering necessary expenses.
The Hansen's are a unique, selfless family who, over the years, have fostered, adopted, and become guardians to infants, teens, adults, special needs individuals, and others who were having a hard time and needed a stable home to get through the next day. With all this on their plate, Kim and Todd started a dog rescue in Rachel's name after Rachel's death. Rachel was very passionate about animals, and what better way to keep her name and story alive than Rachel's Rescue?
Everyone else around Kim and Todd becomes a priority over themselves. This donation page could ease their financial burden and give them hope that Rachel's murder can be solved by providing additional resources to their team of volunteer investigators. They could use our community's support. No donation is too small.
