Help the Hanson Family Fight Cancer Costs

Hello everyone, my name is Kennedy Hanson and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my parents.

On 03/29/25, my mom was rushed to South Haven Hospital by ambulance for shortness of breath. With testing done at the ER, they found a golf ball-sized mass on her left lung, and she was immediately transferred to Kalamazoo Hospital for further testing. Kalamazoo Hospital ran more tests and also found she has COPD as well as the tumor that brought her there, which explained the shortness of breath that caused her to be seen at South Haven.

On 04/11/25, she went in for her biopsy, and we recently got her results back delivering the horrible news that we were all dreading: it is in fact cancer. She was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma; non-small cell carcinoma.

I’m putting this up in hopes I raise money to put towards medical costs, traveling back and forth to appointments/chemo, and towards the cost of living. Neither my mom nor dad have worked since the day we found out, as my dad doesn’t want to leave her side and my mom can’t walk more than 10 ft without being so winded she pukes. 3 weeks without a check, and bills are piling up fast We’ve got a long road ahead of us and appreciate any and everything we receive. ❤️
