The Hartley's: Rebuilding Lives After Tragic Loss

Life can change in the blink of an eye. On Friday, February 9, 2024, Jake Hartley, a healthy, 35-year-old husband and father, left for work and never came home. The Hartley Family’s lives were shattered by the shocking news that Jake had been found unresponsive outside of his place of business. He was unable to be resuscitated. The sudden, tragic loss of my daughter Carly’s devoted and loving husband, Jake, has upended all our lives, but hers and her children’s most of all. It is with heavy hearts we come to you seeking support for the Hartley Family who must face this life-altering tragedy.

Jake was the sole provider for the family. His sudden passing has left them emotionally fragile and financially devastated. Carly, a grieving wife with two young children – Jamason, 11 and Kali 7 - now faces the seemingly insurmountable task of rebuilding their lives without her husband, her soulmate, the love of her life and her rock.

Carly and her children are not only burdened by the grief and loss of a husband and father but face other daunting challenges. Carly suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disorder that has kept her from being able to work for most of her adult life. Unfortunately, Jake had no life insurance, and their savings were meager. With Jake gone, achieving financial stability is essential for Carly and her children to receive the emotional and practical support they desperately need during this difficult time.
