Help the Harvieuxs Rebuild Their Home
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Patricia Kriegl and I'm fundraising for Joel, Jacques and Tugg Harvieux.
Joel Harvieux, a 30-year resident from Oakdale, MN lost his home to fire on Sunday, December 12. Known as a friendly fixture on Hadley Avenue, Joel is the 100% disabled Veteran who sits on the front stoop with his big yellow dog, Tugg, and waves and says hello to all the walkers that pass by his home.
His son, Jacques, a returned Peace Corp Volunteer, who works and goes to graduate school also lives in the home.
At 11pm, asleep in their beds, Jacques woke to a smoke filled basement and a First Responder pounding on the front door. Joel, Jacques and Tugg, aided by First Responders, were able to make it out safe wearing pajamas and bare feet.
The house, vehicles and personal belongings are a total loss. They know they have a long road ahead to rebuilding their home and recovering from the loss. They're grateful for insurance, but know it won't cover all of the loss.
With our deepest gratitude, Joel, Jacques and Tugg thank:
All of the first responders that were there that night, your efforts and help will never be forgotten.
Our wonderful neighbors that made the call that saved our lives, and for taking us in and keeping us warm.
We are beyond grateful and completely humbled for all of the love and support you all have shown us.
Thank you to everybody who has already reached out to extend their prayers, kind words and support. It truly means so much to us right now.
