Help the Hassanat Family Evacuate Gaza

Hi my name is Sara and I am raising funds to help the Hassanat family to evacuate from Gaza. Currently Gaza has been under siege and many families seek evacuation but have no one on the outside of Gaza to help them set up their GoFundMe account. That's where I come in.

The funds raised will be used for the following purposes:

Meet the basic needs of the family while in Gaza awaiting the evacuation . This will include food, water, medicine, blankets, tents, medical needs and other basic needs

Help the family have a place to stay and food to eat upon evacuation from Gaza into Egypt.

Hello everyone,

I didn’t expect to get here, my life has been wonderful. I was living in a beautiful and wonderful house, studying as a physical therapist, and living with my family and friends. But the war destroyed everything. It destroyed my beautiful house and our loving car, and robbed me of my friends and my university. It even robbed me of my feeling of security.

The soldiers surrounded me and my family and inflicted on us the worst types of torture, intimidation and humiliation. They even made all the men take off their clothes despite the cold and after a long time they left us walking. They arrested all the men, my father, my uncles and my cousins and they tortured them severely.

I just want to save myself and my family and escape from Gaza before they bomb us. I tried to travel and get out of it in various ways, but everything was more difficult than expected. We were required to pay $5,000 per person to exit through the Rafa land crossing, which is the only way out of Gaza, and after losing everything we do not have $5,000 per person.

The funds collected will go to a US bank account, then transferred to a family via PayPal to the family in Gaza to meet their basic needs. For evacuation purposes, we will be sending the money to our uncle in Egypt who will be helping facilitate the transportation via Ya Hala travel agency.

Additional funds will be collected for meeting basic needs in Egypt after evacuation and help the family eventually evacuate to their country of choice.
