Help the Hegeman-Alton Family !!!

We are long-time friends of the Hegeman-Alton Family and we are asking for your assistance to help the family during an extraordinary medical crisis.

Michael Alton was diagnosed last year with an aggressive form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma. We are raising funds for the Hegeman-Alton family to help offset the significant decrease in Michael’s income and increase in medical expenses related to Michael’s treatment.

Just before Thanksgiving 2022, Michael suffered a frightening seizure after a long day at work in the printing business. Significant testing, then surgery followed immediately to determine the cause of the seizure. Unfortunately, a brain tumor was determined to be the root cause. Due to continuing, uncontrollable seizures, his doctor recommended a medically induced coma over the Christmas break. Their two children, McKenah and Garrett returned home early from college to be with their parents while Michael was hospitalized in a coma over the Holidays..

Since last year, Michael has bravely faced his disease and engaged in chemotherapeutic treatments, both orally and by infusion. Anyone who knows Michael will remember that he previously worked upwards of 60 hours per week as a pressman and provided the primary income for the family. Michael has been unable to work for the last year. Laura has had to reduce her hours teaching special needs kids.

Your donation will be used to help Michael and his family recover from the growing cost of medical care, including: diagnostic testing, hospital stays, and on-going cancer treatment.
