Help the Helmans

Those of us that are fortunate to call Tom Helman their friend know that Tom is an all in kind of guy. His warm and welcoming ways draw people in, and you are normally rewarded by one of his sincere hugs every time you see him. He is always there to lend a hand, and is a devout Christian. Tom is a leader in his church, and he and his wife Carrole welcome people into their home for weekly bible study.

Tom and Carrole are parents to four children, and grandparents to ten, and family is a major part of their lives. They often speak with great pride while sharing the accomplishments of their children, and sharing antics of their grandchildren.

Tom has a lifelong passion for cars, both old and new, and he and Carrole are involved in many car clubs and events, taking them on some car related adventures, such as The Great Race, The Hot Rod Hill Climb, and many Corvette Club events across the country and into Canada. Tom is a Dukes Car Club member, a Spokane Corvette Club member, an INCCC member and loves taking one of his cars to local and distant shows.

Tom and Carrole were on their way with friends to Telluride Colorado for Corvettes and Colors on September 22nd, when they were in an accident. While Carrole fortunately had only minor injuries, Tom suffered some major injuries, requiring him to be flown to Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle for a more extensive treatment plan. He is in good care, but he and Carrole and their family have a long road ahead as Tom heals up from multiple surgeries these next few weeks or more.

We are asking for your prayers and your generosity to assist with this journey that Tom and Carrole are on, as the medical bills, travel, lodging, etc… will add up very quickly and they would appreciate all the assistance they can get.
