Help the helpers: Cole and Sonia

Final update: Thank you all so much for donating! After GoFundMe's fees we raised $1200. $300 went to DoorDash, $300 to the housekeeper, and tomorrow I'll transfer the remaining $600 to Cole's account so they can pay off most of their water bill. You all have made an incredible difference in Cole and Sonia's life while they grapple with the loss of Cole's mom, and it helps them to know they are loved and looked after by their many friends.

Hi all, it's Cole and Sonia's friend RB Bartgis. As you may know, Cole's mom Donna Grinnell passed away from cancer on Friday, and Cole and Sonia could use a little help in their time of grief after being away for several weeks to help Cole's mom. $450 will cover a DoorDash gift certificate and some professional help with other household tasks so they can recover at their own pace as they work through the loss of a wonderful mother and person.

Updates: We reached our DoorDash goal on Monday morning and the gift certificates are sent! We reached our second goal on Monday afternoon which let me schedule the housekeeper and arrange payment.

Cole and Sonia have decided to use the additional money to pay off a bill: shortly after they bought their house in December 2022, a burst pipe left them with a $3000 water bill. They set up a payment plan and have been diligently paying off the balance, finally getting it under $1000 this month. Your generosity will help them pay off early a debt that has hung over their heads for almost the entire time they've been homeowners.
