Help the Hester Family Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

I don’t even know where to start.

Our Hester family in Douglas, GA truly needs our help. For years, we’ve enjoyed our Hester family reunion in Douglas the last weekend of each October, many thanks to our Hester family (especially Donna Hester) that all live in the Douglas area. We’ve spent that weekend at the old family location along with our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends.

At present, much of our reunion spot is destroyed by 100 mph winds, but thank you, Jesus, our sweet family is accounted for and unhurt. Many have experienced damage to their homes and property and are going into 9 days now with no power and some with no water. There are folks there helping, but with so much damage, they cannot make any guarantees on when things will be restored.

Our sweet Donna has a tree on her home at present and spent her day yesterday feeding people at church. None of them would ever ask for help in a million years, but I think this is where we can step up. Lots of us are getting older, and some of the physical labor part may be difficult for some of us, but I think we can do some monetary help that will help lighten their load.

So I prayerfully ask that you help as much as you can. I promise you that every single penny donated will go to the Hester family and friends in Douglas to help them through this difficult time.

For now, our Hester Reunion is postponed, but I know we will come back stronger than ever before.
