Help the Hofer Family -- the Eaton Fire took everything

Nancy and Mike Schley are starting this GoFundMe for our nephew Kurt Hofer, Emily Hofer, and their children Charlotte (9) and Sofia (5).

On January 8, 2025, they lost their home and all possessions in the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California. They will eventually have insurance money to help replace their home and household goods. They have immediate needs until their life returns to normal. Insurance will help, but it won't cover everything and it will take time. Please help them through this difficult period by donating today.

We live in Goleta, CA, where we are both professionals and very active in the community. As we write this, the Hofers are visiting us because they have no home to sleep in, the air is thick with smoke and ash in Los Angeles. So, they are here with suitcases and the things they were able to grab as they fled the fire, and they are depending on the help of family and friends. Their parents in California were also evacuated from Pasadena and are here.
