Help the Homelezz - 300 Miles in 3 Days - Charity Bike Ride
Donation protected
Hi we are Help the Homelezz, a small team of volunteers who have formed a charitable community group based in Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire. We try to be available as much as we can and twice a week our team heads out in the local area supporting those sleeping rough on the streets within East Riding and Kingston upon Hull, and attending to the vulnerable in hostels. We hand out clothing, sleeping bags, toiletries, freshly prepared warm meals, hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks to those in need. We always have a friendly ear, and also help local families , individuals and other charities, community centres and warm spaces, with food parcels when required also. We do this all non funded, but through kind donations.
Most of our donations are in the form of food items which we really cannot do without, but keeping our team on the road and running our vehicle has its costs, it costs us approximately £150 a month to stay on the road with insurance costs tax and fuel expenses. Our vehicle is our work horse and without it we could not do what we do!
To support our organisation and raise much needed funds one of our volunteers Antony Boggitt and his friend Jamie Bancroft have set themselves the challenge of cycling from Brighton to Goole in just three days! They will be covering over 300 miles to raise awareness of homelessness and our cause.
UPDATE: Due to issues securing accomodation along the route we have had to alter the dates for this event and the ride will now be taking place in the spring.
We will be updating our page on their training progress and during the challenge.
Please support them by donating to our Fundraiser so that we can continue to do what we do - supporting those in need.
Any amount is appreciated.
Many thanks
