Help the Horvath Family Rebuild After Devastating Flooding
Donation protected
On August 18th, my in-laws, Tom and Maria Horvath, faced an unimaginable tragedy. A severe storm caused catastrophic flash flooding that completely devastated their property/home and turned their lives upside down. They have lost vehicles, belongings and more heartbreaking their house is uninhabitable. Thankfully they both are safe but now facing an unknown road ahead.
They are the sweetest people who have always been the first to lend a hand to family, friends, and neighbors. Now, they need our help.
For those that don’t know, Tom and Maria’s journey is the epitome of the American Dream. They immigrated from Hungary to the United States in the early 1980s with the dream of a better life. Starting from nothing, they worked to build a life for themselves in their new country. In 2002, they bought their Newtown house and rebuilt it from the studs up, transforming it into a warm and loving home where they raised their three wonderful boys and created countless memories with family and friends. On Sunday, in a matter of hours, it was all washed away.
We are starting this GoFundMe to help the Horvath family as they begin the long and challenging process of rebuilding their lives.
Your donations will go towards:
- Immediate Needs: Temporary housing, food, clothing, and other essentials.
- Home Repairs: Rebuilding the structure and restoring the interior of their beloved home.
- Replacing Lost Belongings: Furniture, appliances, and personal items that were destroyed in the flood.
Please join us in supporting and loving the Horvath family, whether that be through outreach or donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps! Please keep them and their Connecticut neighbors in your prayers!
Thank you!
