Help the Hough family with Medical Expenses

Hi. My name is Melanie.

My good friends have just received the devastating news that their 1 year old baby, the light of their life, was just diagnosed with a terminal illness called GM1 Gangliosidosis. It is a rare genetic disease that is degenerative and without treatment, death by age 10 is expected.

The Hough's have spent the last several months seeking specialists, attending numerous appointments, and trying to do the things that make baby Aidan most happy: Traveling, being outdoors, facetiming family members, and exploring.

They are already out of "PTO" and will need to take the next 8-10 weeks trying to get him into clinical trials to seek any possible treatment and will be caring for him as his needs for care will increase. They are planning to do this through taking turns using unpaid leave while trying to maintain their careers.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help support them during this difficult time, ease the burden of medical expenses and unpaid time off, and give them any boost that we can through this time of grief.
