Help the Howards Secure Safe Custody

Brittney and Jake Howard have been in an ongoing legal fight with Brittney’s ex husband to gain full

custody of their 3 older children due to his excessive drinking, and endangering the lives of the

children. On 10/18/24 Daniel Austin was arrested again for a DUI with one of the children in the

vehicle with him while blowing a BAC almost double the legal limit.

Daniel was arrested for the first time for DUI and endangering the lives of the children on March

of 2023, and that was dropped down to a misdemeanor and probation. Brittney had taken her ex

husband to court to fight for full custody immediately. That particular round of proceedings did

not end until July of 2024. This resulted in costs of over $20,000 to the family.

After the court proceedings Arizona CPS sent a letter to Brittney Howard on 9/19/24

acknowledging that their investigation has found substantial evidence of child abuse and/or

neglect, but due to the court closing the initial case filed, this evidence could not be submitted.

Of course now the Howard’s must reopen a family court case against Daniel Austin to prevent

harm from coming to the children, since he cannot and will not take the necessary steps to keep

the children safe, and has now been caught driving intoxicated with the children twice.
