Help Gazans access proper medical care!

Hello Everyone!
Many of you already know me, Dr Sulaiman Abuhaiba, a Palestinian Portuguese doctor from Portugal who had his family stuck in Gaza during these very difficult times and under continuous daily threats. With your generous help, we were able to reach many milestones in our fundraiser and this helped us and many other Gazans. This is a summary of what we accomplished with your help and support:
1. We were able to raise enough funds to evacuate our family
2. We were able to buy and get into Gaza antiepileptics, disease modifying drugs for multiple sclerosis, and other medications to more than 87 patients who sought my medical advice and care
3. We were able to help more than 400 families all across the Gaza strip with food, water and other essentials
4. We were able to help evacuate and then treat a 12-year-old boy with relapse T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (he left along with his mother and two brothers)
5. We were able to evacuate a toddler with a congenital heart malformation to Turkey to perform the required repair surgery
6. We were able to evacuate two patients with multiple sclerosis to Egypt to continue their treatment under my remote supervision
7. We were able to visit Egypt in May 2024 to help families and patients who were displaced to Egypt
The next step in this continuous effort is to aim bigger and help more people who are currently in Gaza. We need your urgent and immediate support to do the following:
1. Cancer patients are being evacuated at a very slow rate through Kerem Shalom crossing, however, they need help in getting their proper medications and transportation to Egypt or other countries
2. Many people that were able to leave to Egypt have realized that they will not get resident cards issued for them. Accordingly, we are actively helping Palestinians in Egypt to get student visas, humanitarian visas or work permits to move to Europe. In that regard we were able to do the following:
a. We were able to help 5 young doctors to register in universities to do masters degrees and get their student visas issued
b. We were able to help a family to reunit with their loved ones in Europe and we helped them in the process of requesting and getting international protection as asylum seekers
3. We would like to continue getting medications to any patient who seeks our help. However, the prices of these medications are now ridiculously high in Gaza and getting money into Gaza is very difficult and comes with very high commissions.
All the support that you can give will help us help more Gazans in these regards. It is our obligation to help our people during these difficult times. We are trying to be as objective as possible in our assessment of what people actually need and all the help we are trying to provide at this stage is focused on sustainability and necessity.
Best regards,
Prof Dr Sulaiman Abuhaiba, M.D., Ph.D.
