Help the Jones-Stockard Family after Flood
Donation protected
On the night of May 7, the Cincinnati area experienced severe weather with both tornadoes and flooding. Alana and Rick were awakened after midnight by their 12 y/o daughter screaming from the basement as filthy floodwater rose rapidly around her bed and ruined not only all her belongings (clothes, everything), but also Alana’s basement office. They were able to rescue her from the chest-deep water, and the rest of the family were safe, but everything in the basement is ruined, including all of Amelia’s possessions and clothes and Alana’s work-related things.
They do not have flood insurance because the flood status was not disclosed when they purchased the house. They are unable to live there due to the damage and the smell (the sewers were involved in the flooding).
Any help at all is desperately needed and much appreciated. They are a family of six, including a 2 y/o boy and two daughters (aged 4 and 9) with severe developmental delays and special needs who rely on consistent therapies and care that are now harder to access due to the upheaval caused by this destruction of their home.
