FRIENDS OF THE KEEGAN FAMILY – MORE HELP NEEDED!
Hello wonderful support team. Hopefully you saw Erin’s recent update including the great news that after 2 ½ months in the hospital and rehab center, Jim is finally home with his family. These new circumstances have brought some additional challenges including: the need for part-time nursing care while Erin is at work, the purchase of an ADA wheelchair accessible van, and additional private Physical Therapy to augment the limited amount covered by insurance (in order to obtain the best possible outcome for Jim over the next 6-12 months).
The family is grateful beyond words for your generosity in helping to get them through the initial financial burden of medical treatment. However, a second round of resources is becoming necessary. If you are able to contribute (in any small amount) once again, it would be enormously appreciated and would provide some much-needed relief to this wonderful family that has been through so much. Thank you for your consideration.

What started out as the trip of a lifetime, has turned into a nightmare for the Keegan family. Jim, Erin, Cassidy (14), and Killian (10) traveled to the Azores in July. Their first few days were magical—swimming in waterfalls, hiking, surfing, and enjoying the tropical paradise.
On July 23, Jim was body surfing with Killian as they have done so many times before. Killian found his father face down in the sand and rushed to get help. Jim had hit his head on the ocean floor, and is now paralyzed in all limbs. He is still in the hospital in the Azores and is not able to return to the United States at this time.
Jim is a fighter and we are hoping and praying that he will regain his movement. In the mean time, we would like to raise funds for the family to cover travel, medical bills, and any other expenses the family is certainly facing. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
