Help Connie Kick Cancer’s Ass!!!

Donation protected
As many of you know my beautiful mother was diagnosed last July with stage 4 small cell lung cancer. She was diagnosed on Friday July, 13. She was hospitalized for almost a month due to heart issues caused by the advanced stage of her cancer. During this time I never saw my mother down or discouraged. She's always been ready to fight.
Upon her release from the hospital in August she promptly began treatments at South Carolina Oncology Associates (SCOA). They have been a beacon of Hope and comfort for my mom and our entire family during this very difficult journey. She has received nothing but the best care and compassion from the amazing team of doctors and nurses there.
My strong mama has endured 6 cycles of chemotherapy, 35 days straight of radiation with oral chemotherapy, and 5 cycles of immunotherapy. I posted earlier this week that she would be having a PET scan and we received the results Friday. They were not good. Until now her scans have all been moving in the right direction. Friday we found out her cancer has grown and spread. She was given the choice to try more chemo to extend her life or to discontinue treatment and move on to palliative care. It's no surprise to me or anyone who knows her that she is choosing to fight!
Upon her diagnosis in July I decided to take a leave of absence from my job of 15 years to help with her care during her treatments. My boss and fantastic work family have been more than supportive and accommodating. I was planning on returning to work since things have been going so well. With the recent test results and new course of chemo I don't think it will be possible. My parents are both on fixed incomes and my father can only work part-time due to his own health issues. With drug costs, medical expenses, and just day-to-day bills, what little cushion we had has quickly dwindled.
My family and I would greatly appreciate any small amount you could give just to help us out in this difficult and scary time. My mama needs to focus just on treatment and not have to worry if we are going to be able to pay basic bills or get the medications she needs. She is a proud woman and it took some convincing for her to allow me to start this campaign. I've been picking up shifts with fellow chefs when I can and baking cakes when asked. I was hoping to continue to do this but caring for her has become a full time job and I would like to spend all the time I can with her enjoying the simple things, and making sure she has all she needs.
So many of you have asked what you can do and any little bit has been more than appreciated. I want to thank everyone for your kind words, texts, prayers, and positive thoughts. It has meant the world.  Thank you again. My mama is going to keep trying to kick cancer's ass!
