Help the Lammers Family to rebuild after floods
Donation protected
I am raising money for the Lammers Family (formerly of Karratha and Ellenbrook WA) who have fled their home in Woodburn NSW, due to devastating floods (cover photo is their home, almost completely submerged). Nathan, Rachelle, Holly, Joel, and their dog Chilli, had to leave behind ALL their belongings, memories, and cars, fleeing with just a back pack and 1 set of clothes.
To escape the rapidly rising flood waters they endured a sleepless night on a bridge, surrounded by rushing water and darkness, not to mention the sharks, snakes and mosquitos, and the cries of local animals drowning in the waters around them. As you can imagine this has had a traumatic affect on them all, especially the children. They were rescued early morning by a Good Samaritan in a boat who had also lost his home. This lovely man assisted them to a near by town for safety, but with new storm cells approaching this week they don’t know how long it will be before they can return to their home.
The Lammers are a loving caring family who have always been active members of their communities. They are devastated to have lost everything, including irreplaceable memorabilia from their time in our WA communities.
There are so many people affected by these floods, and who knows how long it will take for insurance claims to be processed. If we can help by raising enough money to help the Lammers family to survive the coming months, and assist with the massive clean up that sadly awaits them when the flood waters eventually subside.
Please help by donating whatever you can to this funding page. Every dollar helps!
