Help Our Family After Palisades Fire
Donation protected
Our beloved home is gone. We have lost everything to the Palisades Fire. We were fortunate to escape with our lives—myself, our son Henry (who had been visiting for the holidays), and our beloved cat Murphy are all safe. We only had enough time to grab just our cat and our passports. We write this appeal with nothing more than the clothes on our back. The place we called home—our cherished memories, our personal belongings—is entirely gone.
When we moved to Swarthmore Avenue in 1993, my late husband Mark and I planted a pear tree in the front yard. Over the years, it grew tall and strong, its delicate white blossoms gracing the yard every spring. That tree became a symbol of stability, growth, and the love we built within the walls of our home. The house was not just a roof over our heads—it was our sanctuary, filled with memories and meaning.
Now, we find ourselves starting over from scratch. We are devastated by the loss, but we are also incredibly grateful to be safe. The emotional toll of losing everything is hard to put into words. Our hearts ache for the loss of the home we built, the life we had, and for our community, who too lost entire worlds.
We are asking for your support as we navigate this difficult journey. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a world of difference.
Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your support during this incredibly difficult time. We are so grateful to know we are not alone.
