Help the Lewis Family Recover From Total Loss

Last evening as you may have seen on local news, the historic 214 State Street "Boyne City Hospital" of 1902 had a very severe, disastrous fire. This has displaced our close employee and his family- Devon, Jody, and their four children. Devon is the most hard-working, dedicated worker and father. He has tirelessly worked to give the best life he can to his family, and he and Jody are in very much need of clothing for them and their children in the Boyne school district.

Last night as we were at the fire together, the kids did not appear even to have the time to get their coats as they were taken out of bed immediately around 10 PM. Each one of them will need coats and boots to return to school as soon as possible.

They have lost everything and have only the clothes on their backs. Devon was hit last week from a car that couldn't stop in the intersection to 31 HWY while he was driving en route to work, and a woodchipper truck hit his work trailer and truck. They have had an unbelievably difficult time, and despite his best efforts to keep his head up and go to work every day, they have lost everything as a family besides the clothes on their backs and their lives. If ANYBODY I have ever known deserves an outpour of community help when in need, its THIS FAMILY.

Words cannot express how much they need their community to support them. Our goal is to get them back to being supported to get back to a sort of "normal" as possible for those kiddoes.

Any donations of food, clothing, gift cards can be dropped off during business hours to the Charlevoix Area Humane Society or my office at 104 S Lake Street Berkshire Hathaway.

Any donation or monetary gift of any size would be appreciated. Our goal is $10,000 to have a livable amount for their basic needs and getting back up on their feet from losing everything.
