Help the Lomax Family Save Their Home

Hello, we are the Lomax Family. Asking for help is something we never do, so this ask comes with great humility. We are trying to save our mortgage from going into default, because of unpaid taxes from last year. In 2014 John, Hanan, and I moved in with my parents so I could take care of my dad full time. My dad was 100% disabled through the VA. Their mortgage was a VA backed loan, and the mortgage wasn't put into escrow as he didn't have to pay taxes because of his disability. After he passed in 2019, the benefit of 0% property tax transferred to my mom. My mom passed away last year. As soon as my dad passed, my mom's health issues rose, then I took care of her full time. In the mean time, I was diagnosed with a disease that I have to take chemotherapy, and steroids for the rest of my life. After her passing, we were left with entire rooms to go through, organize, and purge. Believe me, our heads were spinning for quite a while. We received our tax bill last year around this time, and honestly, we live paycheck to paycheck gratefully, although this amount is not something we can just write a check for. Then at the end of last summer, we opened our home to a young lady who is still with us praise God! Simply, I forgot about last years taxes. Our mortgage company is demanding the bill be paid up within a month, or they will put the loan in default. Friends of ours suggested we create this page, and it is one of the hardest things I've ever asked for. Above ALL we are asking for your prayers.
