Help the Lopez family with Unity's recovery

Unity has been hospitalized for almost a year. She will complete Chemo and will be going home this week. She will require extensive therapy due to a brain injury she sustained during her illness. The family has encountered countless medical bills and will continue to have medical expenses.

12/2020 Unity got Covid. Symptoms were mild, and she made a full recovery. Summer 2021 She began acting strangely with daily headaches but no major red flags.

Early August 2021, Unity was re-exposed to covid but tested negative, though everyone else in the immediate household was positive.

08/26/2021 Unity had a massive headache, threw up, and went unresponsive in route to the ER and was intubated on arrival.

She was subsequently diagnosed with Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis. Her immune system was telling her body to attack her brain.

She was eventually air lifted to Children's Hospital of San Antonio, where that's been her primary residence for almost a year.

She was a typical, healthy 10 year old prior to contracting Covid. Her condition is treatable with the use of Chemotherapy and various forms of immunosuppressants. She has sustained a brain Injury, seizures, respiratory complications, and many other diagnosis since this all started. She is dependent on a ventilator, trach and feeding tube.
