Help the Madsen’s obtain attorneys fees

Hi everyone,

this is something that is terribly embarrassing for me to do. I’ve created these funds for others that have been successful but not for our family.

Most of you know my sweet Ellie. If you don’t, she’s the shy one wrapped up in my white shawl. She is 10 years old now. Elizabeth (Ellie) has severe depression, anxiety, and ADHD, all of which making functioning day to day extremely difficult. There have been many time this beautiful little girl has expressed a wish to take her life. To make the matter worse, I share custody of Ellie and her older sister Emma with my ex husband. Since the beginning I have had final decision making which regards things including medical, religious, and educational decisions. If we cannot agree then, if I have dealt in good faith (which I always do) get to make the decision.

At her dads insistence we tried diet changes, vitamins, and other “home remedies “ that did not work. Over the last couple years my sweet Ellie has gone so far down hill in her mental and emotional state that we had to seek the help of a psychiatrist. We found a fantastic medication that would help with her ADHD which is an “as needed” medicine and another medication that would help curb that anxiety and depression that has to be taken consistently EVERY day. The ADHD medication is doing it’s job wonderfully. The wall we’ve hit is that I just found out that Ellie’s dad has been refusing to give her the medication while she is at his house, telling her that it will hurt her. So for over a month she was only getting her medication sporadically, causing more harm to her little body… and her doctor says that there are no other medications we can give her that can be taken sporadically or “as needed” like her ADHD medication is. If we’re able to obtain the fees we need to retain the lawyer, we will do our absolute best to make sure he cannot continue to harm her medically and mentally as he has been.
