Help The Malatesta Family

We are an Orthodox Christian family of three who went out of town to celebrate Christmas. We stayed at a friend's house. While our daughter was napping upstairs, my husband, Adryan, nearly cut off 3 of his fingers while chopping wood. He was rushed to the hospital with two of his fingers hanging off and the third one badly damaged. That same day he had surgery on his hand.

I am a stay at home mom and Adryan was the one who brought home the money and provided for the family so I could take care of our 4 month old daughter. Now he is out of work and has no job because he is unable to use his hand. It has also strained our home life as he cannot help me out with things at home. He will get disability from his work, but it will not cover our rent and utilities completely. Not to mention our car insurance and gas, and other expenses. 

I can't go back to work because I have no family to watch the baby and his family lives out of town. All of our friends have jobs or we don't know the rest too well to trust them with our baby. Also daycare is out of our budget. Adryan and I will try to find small side jobs to earn some money, but we know it will not make ends meet.

Adryan has always worked hard to provide for our little family and we never wanted anything like this to happen. He will be out of work for at least 4 months, and will need lots of hand therapy. He might lose feeling in his ring finger. He has been in a lot of intense pain, and this entire thing traumatized both of us.

We ask our friends, family, strangers, and church family to help us keep our heads afloat for the next 4 months while he heals. If you cannot donate, we would appreciate you share this fundraiser to your friends on Facebook or wherever else.
