Help the Malloy’s wheelchair ready remodel

Donation protected
A couple months ago my dad lost the use of his legs. He’s had decades of back problems and multiple surgeries over the years. Then he hit a bump in the road (literally) that somehow was the last straw for his back. After the accident he was helicoptered to Denver to try and save the use of his legs. Unfortunately it was too late. He has spent the last couple months in rehab learning to live in his new reality. Meanwhile my mom (who has back and health issues of her own) has been tasked with getting the house wheelchair ready. This includes adding a ramp from the driveway to the front door that won’t freeze or accumulate too much snow in the winter, putting a cover over the driveway to keep the snow from piling up in winter, and renovating the bathroom to remove the bathtub and create a roll in shower. Eventually they will also need to get a vehicle that my dad can travel in as well. These last months have been such a rollercoaster of emotions and stress. And trying to figure out the costs of everything has been a nightmare. My father will be coming home at the end of the month. The house needs to be ready by then. If there is anything you can do to help, it would be greatly appreciated. I’m hoping this fundraiser will help relieve some of the stress so that my parents can instead focus on their health and learning how to live in this new reality. Thank you.
