Help Ahmed's Family Rebuild Their Lives After the Tragedy

My name is Ahmed, a 21-year-old from Gaza, Palestine. My family consists of six members: my parents, my two sisters (Dima, 20, and Dana, 18), and my younger brother, Mohammed (15).

Before October 7, 2023, life was tough, but we were managing. I was studying at Al-Aqsa University in Management Information Systems, and I ran a small grocery store, which was our primary source of income. My sister Dima was just starting her first semester in Medical School, having received a scholarship, though it didn’t cover transportation and all the necessary expenses for a student. We struggled to help her pursue her dream. Dana, my younger sister, was preparing for her final exams for the secondary school certificate and dreamed of becoming an interior designer. We were all doing well in our studies, earning scholarships due to our academic achievements.

However, everything changed on October 7. The war destroyed our home and our livelihood. We were forced to flee to the Mawasi area in Khan Younis, a desert region with no proper facilities. We now live in the open, without basic necessities like clean water, shelter, or even a bathroom.

Currently, we have no income, no education, and no safe place to live. We cannot attend our classes or take exams. We travel long distances just to access the internet, and we pay high fees for it, with one hour costing 7 shekels.
