Help the Marie Family Rebuild After the Palisades Fire
Donation protected
Hello, everyone. My name is Lou, and my family and I recently lost our home to the devastating Palisades fire. We are immigrants who came to Los Angeles from France. We sold our home overseas, gave up our familiar life, and moved here without speaking the language or knowing where we’d stay. We were so lucky to find the beautiful Pacific Palisades. This community embraced us from day one, and we felt safe and welcomed in a way we never imagined possible.
On Tuesday January 7th, like hundreds of other families, we lost our entire house and all the memories within it. The fire left nothing behind. I was able to make it out with my two cats 5 minutes before it would’ve been too late. We are beyond grateful that we are safe and we pray every day for everyone that lost their homes in the fire.
We are now in an uncertain position, dealing with immigrant life and trying to fall back on our feet.
We no longer have a home to return to in France, and the only home we’ve known here in LA is gone.
Myself and my little brothers went to school in the Palisades, made lifelong friends, and we spent hours connecting with neighbors and this whole community. It has been a blessing to be part of such a welcoming community. The most beautiful in the city.
Any amount you can donate will help us find our footing again. We understand these times are tough for many, and we appreciate every single contribution. Even sharing this page means the world to us.
Please help us rebuild 1225 Lachman Lane.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for any help you can provide.
With gratitude
