Help the Martin family -Funeral & expenses
Donation protected
Please help us to bury my beautiful beloved mother who just passed on Saturday. She had no life insurance. And we have no savings or money available to afford a funeral or any arrangements at all right now. Any contribution at all is so appreciated! May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
Backstory: Susy Martin is a follower of Christ, she has been a devoted wife and mother with a true servants heart and a sincere love of her family and others. She always came last because she always put others before herself. She and I took care of my disabled father, disabled since 1989. In November of 2019 she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It seemed very sudden, as if overnight she went from a picture of health to drastically failing health. Within a matter of months she lost over half her body weight and she became very weak very quickly. She was in and out of the hospital multiple times but was delayed in getting a viable biopsy for a couple of months. They could not treat the cancer without conclusive biopsy results, and by the time they had it she had grown so weak that she was no longer a candidate for treatment and she was sent home from the hospital via hospice to care for her at home, which I have happily undertaken and have been taking care of her 24/7 since she became ill, as well as continuing to take care of my dad. And his health has significantly declined in the past few weeks as well, but I will take care of him as long as the Lord blesses him with life, which we pray is a while still!
Saturday was so unexpected. I was talking to my mom like any other day. I told her I was going to get her meds together and put on coffee and she said ok. She was resting but didn't appear to have labored breathing. I was still in the same room with her, just getting things together for her, and within 15-20 minutes of our last spoken words she had suddenly stopped breathing. I called 911, and started chest compressions but when they arrived they said she was dead on arrival. We are deeply heartbroken but glad it was such a quick and peaceful passing.
This incredible woman passed far too early in life and with a grandbaby on the way that she didn't get to meet in this life.
Our only family income was and is my dads monthly disability check. It's not much to live on especially when someone gets this sickly. So we have no savings or any way to afford the arrangements that must be made...and she deserves a modest burial and memorial at least. If I am able to get enough donations I would like to be able to get a plot for my dad to be beside her when he passes so they don't end up in different cemeteries or something. And in all likelihood, since his recent decline in his health we will need to get him on some sort of home based care or palliative care very soon, almost immediately in fact.
Prayers for my family are appreciated as much as any donations. We are trusting in the Lord to provide for us and for these expenses. May He richly bless you all,and grant you His Shalom. All Glory to God forever! :) Thank you!
