Help the Martinez Bresnahan Family

Hi, My name is Billee Jo, and I am fundraising for the Martinez family. This local West Side family with 4 young children (ages 10,8,5,2) lost their father Mike, December 21, 2019 due to heart complications. When he passed away the family was experiencing homelessness and sleeping in their van.

Mike's death was a devastating blow to the family. The kids miss their Dad, and with the communities help, I think we could come together and raise this family up!

Lauren is doing her best to raise all 4 kids, but is struggling to make ends meet, and at times- struggling just to put food on the table. Often times she goes hungry just so that she can feed her kids.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Lauren get transportation, and to pay basic necessities. The car will allow the children to stay in the same school district that they have been in. Transportation will also help Lauren to get back and forth to a job, and gain a sense of independence. This fundraiser will help the family be able to do basic daily things, and not have to walk 2 miles (with 4 kids)to get to the store, especially with this cold weather.

The fundraiser will also help them pay bills, and gain stability as well as give them the opportunity to enjoy life and allow these children to just be children!

My goal for this fundraiser is to help this family in multiple areas, and of course have a very nice Christmas, and alleviate the pressure on their shoulders.
