Help the Mathwig Family After A Tragic Loss

Hi, this is the Mathwig Family. We recently lost Jake Mathwig, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He passed away very suddenly this fall.

Jake loved storytelling, walks in the outdoors, and helping people. Whether it was assisting someone with getting their car out of a ditch, providing firewood, or teaching new skills, Jake was always ready to help and was constantly seeking out ways to be a blessing to family, friends, and members of our community. His strength, stories, and mindset of service made an impact on so many people. Most of all he loved to give people hope, especially the hope of the gospel of Christ.

We greatly miss having him in our lives. As we deal with this new loss we wanted to open this site so that people who desire to help with a gift would have a way to do so. We don't want to obligate anyone, but we do want people to know that your contributions are a huge help as we seek to take care of some basic needs and expenses. In particular gifts will be used for funeral costs and to help his wife Kay through the tough transition of living without him.

We are grateful for any support you are willing to give, and want everyone to know that this help is very meaningful to our family. We are navigating a path forward and greatly appreciate the generosity that helps us do so.
