Help the Mattson Family with funeral expenses

Hi, my name is Denise, I have never done a go fund me. I feel the need to at this time. Let me start by saying, I have known Steve Mattson since I was 14 years old. I am now 51. We started dating when I was 16. Since that time, I have been part of the Mattson family. Through the years, Steve and I have always come together during good times and bad, during every decade of our lives since we were teenagers. The most recent time, was in May, when God brought us together again for the last decade with both of us living. Steve found out in April 2021 that he had stage 4 lung cancer and after testing found out it had spread and was in his bloodstream and surgery was not an option. He was told if he took chemo, he had 1-2 years if not 3 months. He took chemo. He still only lived 3 months. He passed yesterday, July 25, 2021. Our hearts are broken he is no longer with us. The reason for this go fund me is because today, during funeral preparations, it was discovered that his life insurance policy had a 2 year probationary period. His 2 years are up in 10 days and unfortunately the policy will not pay out anything except what he has paid in premiums. That is not even close enough to cover his funeral expenses. His mother and sister are exhausting all avenues for funds in hopes of giving him a proper funeral that he deserves and make him proud. After many conversations, between him and I, I’m starting this go fund me in hopes to help them give him a proper funeral. Any help is very much appreciated for my first true love, Steve Mattson and his family. Thank you in advance for any contribution.
