Help the McIntyres and Phillip's road to Recovery

Phillip McIntyre, a husband to Melissa, a father to Claira, a son, a Veteran and a provider, is truly a medical miracle. This summer, at only 45 years old, Phillip suffered a massive heart attack resulting in multiple strokes, leading to prolonged hospitalization. Blessed to be alive, he has a long road to recovery. Phillip and his family need our help, as he has not been able to work since the event. Melissa has continued to work while caring for him and Claira in an attempt to provide for their family.

As you can imagine, the medical expenses are daunting…to say the least. Many friends, family, and even complete strangers who have heard his story have asked how they can help. For months many people have prayed desperate prayers, sent encouraging messages, prepared meals for Melissa and Claira and sent gift cards, but they still want to do more to help this sweet, deserving family.

We can now do more – we can donate to their overwhelming medical expenses and help this family with these unexpected financial obligations. If you are unfamiliar with his story, below is a short synopsis of his miracle journey thus far.

On July 10th, Phillip collapsed in front of Melissa at their home. With the help of their neighbor, Catharine, they administered CPR until EMS arrived. He was transported to the nearest hospital, where after 1.5 hours, a heartbeat was regained. He was taken to the Cath Lab, where a stent was placed to open a 100% blockage. Despite their best efforts, he continued to decline and was transported to UK Hospital the following day. His family was given little to no hope for his survival, much less recovery. But, with MANY prayers, excellent medical care, and a 65 day rollercoaster of highs and lows, Phillip came home on 9/14/2022! His course was complicated by multiple strokes, kidney and liver failure, mechanical ventilation, a tracheostomy, sepsis, multiple blood transfusion…you name it, Phillip has been through it.
