This tragic event actually happened to my clients Do-gyeong and Joseph on 2/27/2022. The sweet family has recently moved to Oahu on their military PCS order. Joseph is an active-duty military service member, and he has been staying at a hotel with a pregnant wife, two little babies and a dog. The family was crossing the street on a crosswalk when a car hit the mother and a one-year-old baby she was holding. One thing that this news article missed is that the lady who got hit was also pregnant. She had multiple fractures, broken facial bones and lost most of her front teeth. She has had multiple surgeries and got admitted to the ICU. The family is worried about the side effects of the radiation treatment since she is pregnant. Her family is in South Korea, and I wanted to raise funds to help her cover the cost of her family's flight tickets and accommodations while they stay here to help with her recovery and the kids.

 

Do-gyeong will be in a wheelchair for many months and has been  suffering from severe pain. She will be giving birth in August if all goes well. However, it will be challenging because her hip was injured, and it requires a long time to heal. On top of that, it turned out that the driver who hit them had an expired auto insurance, so they could not get any compensation from the driver's insurance company at all. Any help will be appreciated, and Please pray for the mother's speedy recovery and the baby's health. The house they were supposed to move into also got delayed, so they would have to pay for hotel costs out of pocket for about a month in April, and your contribution will help the family tremendously.
