Help the Mendes Family Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 25th, Candace came home to find their home on fire. The fire started in their garage and quickly spread to their kitchen and living room area. The HB firemen were able to put out the fire, but the water damage, smoke, and flames left their home in almost a total loss state. The Mendes' dog, Bella, was saved when a police officer kicked down the door. They are happy to be safe and realize it could have been so much worse, but they are overwhelmed with losing their home for the foreseeable future.
Fortunately, they have insurance, but the amount of loss is priceless. Next week is golf tryouts for the boys, and their golf clubs were destroyed in the fire, along with surfboards and Candace's late father Jim's tools. Pretty much everything in the front of the house will need to be replaced as well. Everyone in the family is thankful for all the words of support and love, but as a community, if you would like to help the Mendes family through this difficult time, please think about donating towards meals, replacing items needed now, and just making life a little less stressful. It would be very appreciated by Candace, Nick, Owen, Luke & Bella.
We love you Mendes family!
