Help the Merrifield’s recover from a house fire!

On January 15th, the Merrifield’s home suffered significant damage in a house fire.  Sam Merrifield is a beloved teacher at Cut Off Elementary School in Lafourche Parish. He is married to Jahne Merrifield and has two children.   Jhane is a stay at home mother to their two year old son, Alex.  Their daughter Sammie is a four year old student at Cut Off Elementary School. She is diagnosed with down’s syndrome and type 1 diabetes. She requires daily monitoring and medication to keep her health condition stable.  In addition to caring for Sammie’s medical needs, Mr. Merrifield is diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as well, which requires significant medical expenses. 

Mr. Merrifield is a dedicated teacher and impacts many children in our community! His dad jokes are infamous!
