Amanda is now using her middle name, Victoria, as it means “victorious” and we know that as a daughter of the King she is just that—victorious!!

Your prayers, support, and donations have been a blessing for Amanda's family and have helped ease the financial toxicity that cancer causes. Many thanks for your generosity!

Hi! Our names are Himilce, Emily, and Laura, and we are fundraising for the Merritt family to help offset their medical expenses while battling stage 4 breast cancer. Himilce is Amanda’s sister, and Emily and Laura are good friends of Amanda. We know her very well and love her so much!

Amanda is just 41 years old, and married to Richard. She has 2 beautiful young children. Amanda is an incredible mother, wife, friend, sister, and woman of faith. Before Amanda was even diagnosed with cancer, God spoke to her in a dream and gave her a promise for healing! At the time, Amanda didn’t even know or suspect that she had or would have cancer.

Some years ago, Amanda underwent a double mastectomy after testing positive for the BRCA2 gene mutation. She then had her two children before undergoing a hysterectomy. These procedures were supposed to greatly minimize Amanda's risk of being diagnosed with breast and/or ovarian cancer. Amanda's doctor even told her she had less than a one-percent chance of being diagnosed with the type of cancer she was diagnosed with -- stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Amanda has faith that if the diagnosis was made despite a less than one-percent chance of it happening, then a miracle of healing can also occur. Her church, friends, and family are believing with her for complete healing from the Lord. He will show His glory in and through Amanda! We don’t know exactly what God has planned, but we know that He is good, and He always keeps His promises.

In addition to prayers, we are asking for blessings in the form of monetary donations on behalf of the Merritt family. These donations will help pay for medical bills, food for her family, transportation to and from appointments, and the many other miscellaneous expenses cancer survivors must manage. The LAST thing we want the Merritts to have to worry about is how they’re going to pay for their bills. We don’t want them to feel financial stress as Amanda is focusing on her health, her family, and her healing!

Besides everything mentioned above, Amanda is a former teacher and her husband, Rich, is a first responder. They're both very active in their church and community, and they've spent their entire lives helping others; let's return the favor!

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
