- My name is Linda Howell; I’m creating this fundraiser to help Nikki Clow and Cory Molina with the financial burdens they now face do to Cory’s accident; any and all donated funds will be used to help the Molina family with medical and personal expenses. On October 3, 2022, Cory suffered a Traumatic brain injury when the pool filter he was working on at his home exploded in his face. Cory suffered multiple Cranial fractures, multiple facial fractures and severe retinal damage. Cory was airlifted to the Trauma Unit at St Joseph Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, where he underwent brain surgery to remove a large subdural hematoma that was causing pressure on his brain. A secondary hematoma was closely monitored, and he was transferred to the ICU on a ventilator. With the power of prayer and excellent medical and surgical intervention, Cory's life was saved.
Once Cory is stable, he will be transferred to a traumatic brain injury rehabilitation facility.
Before Cory’s accident, they were going through a cycle of in-vitro fertilization. The day after the accident, Nikki’s Infertility Specialist told her that the IVF cycle worked and that they were pregnant! Nikki found this out while her husband was fighting for his life in the ICU. Extremely excited but so worried and concerned and stressed but also blessed because Cory made it through a very critical time. Nikki stayed by Cory’s side day and night, she was able to tell Cory that they were pregnant, and he was able to give her a thumbs up!
To know Cory and Nikki Molina is a true blessing. They are a couple who would give their shirts off their backs and ask nothing in return. With that being said, this fundraiser is being set up to help alleviate some of the financial stresses associated with Cory’s medical care and the family’s short-term living expenses.
What Cory will need moving forward:
• Continued care at St Joseph for an undetermined amount of time.
•Outpatient rehabilitation for Cognitive recovery to be determined
•Additional surgeries for internal and external injuries
•Prayers, Lots of Prayers for Cory’s progress and recovery and also for their high risk pregnancy.
Please continue to hold Cory and Nikki and their boys Roscoe and Ammon, as well as their extended family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate unknown territory.
