Help the Molinaro Family Through Crisis
Donation protected
This year should have been a huge year of celebration for the Molinaro family as Ryan finally hit the elusive milestone of being 10 years in remission from her kidney cancer. Instead, that celebration was abruptly cut short on January 30th when their life was forever changed.
When Ryan and the kids returned home from school on the afternoon of January 30th, they saw Joe’s car in the driveway parked in a way that didn’t allow her enough room, but they were excited thinking Joe got home early from work. She sent Tyler up to the house to retrieve Joe, but only a few seconds later he would return screaming in a way she’s never heard before. That scream changed everything—Tyler found his father unconscious on the floor and nothing would ever be the same. Thankfully, the emergency and trauma response team helped right away.
Much later, the family would find out that Joe took a fall on the stairs at work causing a traumatic brain and severe back injury. Joe continues to have severe back, vision, memory, and speech issues. The severity of this injury is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. When it first happened, he barely remembered Ryan, didn't know his last name, birthdate, or the fact that he even had children.
Yes, the fall happened at work, so I’m sure you’re thinking all would be taken care of, but no. Due to a doctor’s error, which Ryan only found out very recently, Joe continues to get denied for all types of insurance and compensation. Ryan has since had all Joe’s records properly amended, but the appeal is ongoing.
In the meantime, Joe continues to suffer and is unable to work. Bills are piling up and Ryan is doing her absolute best to hold it together. If you know anything about this family, you know they would never, ever ask for help, but at the moment all of Joe’s medical expenses are being paid out of pocket while the appeal process continues on.
If you can donate anything that would be a tremendous help for a family I know many of us love. I realize this is a diffifult time for many so if you are unable to donate at this time I would greatly appreciate it if you could share this message for The Molinaro Family.
