Help the Mondragón family rebuild their lost home

Donation protected
On Thursday, April 8 around 1 am, the Mondragón family awoke to their home up in flames.
The Mondragón family of 7 lost absolutely everything in an unexpected residential fire. Thankfully, no one was injured and everyone was able to make it out safely. Unfortunately, none of their life time belongings were salvageable.

The Mondragon family has lived for more than 20 years in Benton City and are trying to cope with their losses that were caused by this fire.

With multiple expenses arising and the need to rebuild their life from scratch, the Mondragon Family is experiencing extreme financial loss.

If you would like to donate or have already done so, thank you for taking this family into consideration and please keep them in your prayers.

About the Family:

The parents, Jorge & Senaida, have worked arduously as agricultural workers at Goose Ridge vineyards to provide a better life for their 5 children. Not only have Jorge and Senaida worked full time as agricultural workers but they also pastor a Hispanic congregation in Benton City for nearly a decade.

Their eldest, Maria, attended elementary, middle and high school at Kiona-Benton. Maria was involved in many sports but stuck with wrestling all through her four years in high school. After graduation, Maria became the first in her family to attend Columbia Basin College where she served as an outreach ambassador, led an initiative for undocumented students and earned her Associates degree while being a full time student, eldest sister, and part time worker.
She was accepted into the Elementary Education program and currently attends WSU TRI-CITIES. Through this travesty, Maria lost her school textbooks, laptop, clothes, and everything that she was building for her and her family.

Jorge, the second child of Jorge and Senaida, is currently a Senior at Kiona-Benton High. Similar to Maria, Jorge has attended all through k-8 and will be graduating from Ki-Be this year. Jorge has served as an all around athlete and was recently named SCAC All League running back. Jorge work s partirme as a full time student and was also only able to escape with merely the clothes on his back.

José, is the third of the Mondragón children and is currently a freshman at Ki-Be. José was actively involved in the idle school basketball and is awaiting this upcoming season. This was José’s first year playing football alongside his brother Jorge.

Lastly, the two you gets daughters are Keila age 9 and Abigail age 5.

Keila is a leader in her fourth grade classroom that has worked hard to become where she is as a student.

Abigail has been excitingly attending her first year in the Transitional Kindergarten program at Ki-Be and where she has shown exponential growth educationally and personally.
