On July 5,2024 my family received the devastating news that 3 of my youngest cousins were involved in a car fire with their father. Maximus 4, Hendrix 3, and Oakley who would be turning 2 this coming October. Due to the life saving efforts of the boys father, he was able to get Maximus and Hendrix out of the vehicle. Chip; the boys father, has 3rd degree burns on both his hands and arms as well as to the side of his face. Maximus is now in ICU and on breathing tubes with burns from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head. Hendrix has severe 3rd degree burns on one half of his body and will be in a burn unit. Unfortunately, Oakley did not survive the injuries afflicted by the fire and will forever be remembered as the sweet baby boy he is. As we rally together as a family to try to figure out life after this tragedy, bills and funeral expenses should be the last of my aunt and her husbands worries. Any amount will help and prayers are always welcomed.
