Please Help the Montes Family After the Eaton Fire

My name is Alejandra, and I’m sharing this on behalf of my brother and his family, who lost everything in the Eaton Fire.

On January 8, the Montes family endured an unimaginable loss when their home and community was destroyed in the devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena. Cesar, Melissa, and their two children—Matteo, and Joaquin—along with their dog, Ozy, lost everything they’ve worked so hard for. Melissa bravely evacuated the children that morning, while Cesar stayed behind, selflessly helping others protect their homes. Sadly, despite their efforts, they couldn’t save their own.

Now, they are faced with the daunting task of restarting their lives from zero.What they’ve lost goes far beyond material possessions—it includes memories, keepsakes, and the dreams they had for their future.

Cesar, Melissa, Matteo, and Joaquin have deeply touched the lives of their loved ones, friends, coworkers, and classmates, and now they need our support more than ever.

Your contribution will support them through this challenging time— as they will have to start over with only what they could carry in their car during evacuation. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a profound difference as they begin to heal and start their new life.

Mi nombre es Alejandra y estoy compartiendo esto en nombre de mi hermano y su familia, quienes lo perdieron todo en el incendio de Eaton.

El 8 de enero, la familia Montes sufrió una pérdida inimaginable cuando su hogar y su comunidad fue destruido en el devastador incendio de Eaton en Altadena. César, Melissa y sus dos hijos—Matteo y Joaquín—junto con su perro Ozy, perdieron todo por lo que han trabajado tan arduamente. Melissa evacuó valientemente a los niños esa mañana, mientras César se quedó atrás, ayudando desinteresadamente a otros a proteger sus hogares. Cesar, Melissa, Matteo y Joaquín han tocado profundamente las vidas de sus seres queridos, amigos, compañeros de trabajo y compañeros de clase, y ahora necesitan nuestro apoyo más que nunca.
