Help the Moreno Family!

In May of 2015, Tess Moreno was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and moderate chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).  COPD is a chronic inflammatory lung disease in which air flow to and from the lungs is obstructed, making it difficult to breathe, causing coughing, wheezing, and tightness in the chest.  There is no cure for COPD.
     In May of 2017, Tess was told that her disease had progressed to end stage severe COPD (Stage 4).  This stage is characterized by a struggle to breathe during routine daily activities and even while at rest.  Simple tasks can cause exhaustion.    She is unable to work at this time and requires frequent doctor/hospital visits for testing, therapy, and pulmonary rehab. Eventually, Tess will qualify for a lung transplant.
     Tess has been waiting for her insurance company to pay some of her medical bills and has also applied for government/SSDI assistance.  However, these things take time.  In the meantime, she is trying to raise two children by  herself with limited resources that have been drained by the disease's progression.  The Moreno family could use some help with daily living expenses such as rent, food, and medicine.  All donated money will be used toward easing the family's situation.
