Help the Mushtaha Family (Gaza War Victims)

Hi, my name is Ahmed and I'm fundraising for the Mushtaha familiy.

"I am Seraj Mushtaha, a medical student at Zagazig University in Egypt. In 2019, I moved to Egypt to study medicine. In my fifth year, in 2023, the war started and the situation with my family that stayed in Gaza during the war was deteriorating, and there was minimal communication between us. I was deeply concerned about them and their wellbeing.

As a medical student studying in Egypt, my heart was always heavy with worry about my family back in Gaza during the war. I always spend sleepless nights thinking about their safety and well-being, feeling helpless and torn between my studies and my family's plight. The constant fear and uncertainty took a toll on me, making it difficult for me to focus on my studies and continue with my normal life. Despite the distance separating us, the bond with my family remained strong, and I’m longed for the day when peace would finally prevail so that i could be reunited with them once again.

My family wants to tell you their story:

"We dream of a good life. We were exposed to extremely difficult situations as a result of the horrors of war, and your support can make a world of difference in our lives”.

We were once one of the most renowned furniture dealers in Gaza. However, our lives were drastically altered in a single day and night. We were forced to leave our homes and seek refuge in Al-Zawaida. A neighbour from Gaza sent us images showing that our factory, which housed wood and machinery, had been completely destroyed and the machinery set ablaze. Additionally, our furniture showroom, known as Mushtaha’s Furniture, was targeted by incendiary shells by the Israeli occupation forces, resulting in the destruction of everything inside, including our money safe containing all our funds and important documents, We did not know that we would face this loss and oppression.

The situation is deteriorating day by day, with cases of hunger and thirst increasing significantly. The food we purchase is insufficient to meet our needs, and the prices of food and water are exorbitant, with no income to offset the expenses of acquiring food and water, the situation is becoming increasingly dire.

Now stranded in Gaza with limited resources, we are unsure of how to move forward. The money we had saved was spent on essential supplies such as food and flour for bread-making. Our future looks uncertain as we struggle to rebuild what was lost.

اسمي سراچ محمود مشتهى طالب في كلية الطب في جامعة الزقازيق في مصر، في ٢٠١٩ انتقلت الي مصر لتكملة دراستي في الجامعة ودرست الطب لكي احقق احلام اهلي بأن اصبح دكتور مثل ما يتمنون ولكن الحرب دمرت احلامنا وطموحاتنا،

بدأت الحرب وكان الوضع مع عائلتي التي بقيت في غزة أثناء الحرب يتدهور يوماً بعد يوم، وكان التواصل بيننا ضئيلًا جداً. لقد كنت شديد القلق عليهم وعلى سلامتهم.

كطالب طب أدرس في مصر، كان قلبي مثقلًا بالقلق دائمًا على عائلتي في غزة. أقضي دائمًا ليالي بلا نوم أفكر في سلامتهم، وأشعر بالعجز والقلق بين دراستي ومحنة عائلتي. لقد أثر الخوف الدائم علي وافكر دائماً كيف اتواصل معهم واطمئن عليهم، مما جعل من الصعب علي التركيز على دراستي ومواصلة حياتي الطبيعية. على الرغم من المسافة التي تفصل بيننا، إلا أن علاقتي بعائلتي ظلت قوية، وكنت أشتاق إلى اليوم الذي أتمكن من لم شملي معهم مرة أخرى.

عائلتي تود ان تخبر لكم القصة كاملة:

‎ نحن نحلم بحياة جيدة وآمنة، وقد تعرضنا لموقف صعب للغاية نتيجة لأهوال الحرب، دعمكم يمكن أن يحدث فرقًا كبيرًا في حياتنا.

‎كنا في السابق أحد أشهر تجار الأثاث في غزة. ومع ذلك، تغيرت حياتنا رأسا على عقب. اضطررنا لترك منازلنا واللجوء إلى الزوايدة في المنطقة الوسطى. أرسل لنا أحد الجيران من غزة صورًا تظهر أن مصنعنا، الذي كان يضم الخشب والآلات، قد تم تدميره بالكامل واشتعلت النيران في الآلات ودمرت بشكل كامل. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم استهداف معرض الأثاث الخاص بنا، المعروف بشركة مشتهى للمفروشات، بقذائف حارقة من قبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، مما أدى إلى تدمير وحرق كل شيء بداخله، بما في ذلك خزنة أموالنا التي تحتوي على جميع أموالنا ووثائقنا واوراقنا المهمة، ولم نكن نعلم أننا سنواجه هذا الضياع والقهر.

‎ويتدهور الوضع يوماً بعد يوم، حيث تتزايد حالات الجوع والعطش بشكل ملحوظ. إن المواد الغذائية التي نشتريها غير كافية لتلبية احتياجاتنا، وأسعار المواد الغذائية والمياه باهظة جداً، ومع عدم وجود دخل يعوض نفقات الحصول على الغذاء والماء، أصبح الوضع سيئاً على نحو متزايد.

‎. تم إنفاق الأموال التي وفرناها على الإمدادات الأساسية مثل الطعام والدقيق لصنع الخبز. يبدو مستقبلنا غير مؤكد ونحن نكافح من أجل إعادة بناء ما فقدناه.

‎نحن قادرون على الانتقال من الظلمات إلى النور بدعمكم وتبرعاتكم لنا. حيث يمكننا إعادة بناء حياتنا وبيوتنا وعملنا ووطننا مرة أخرى.
