Help The Naked Hanger stay open

Donation protected

Like many small businesses across the country The Naked Hanger was hit hard due to COVID.  With less customers needing their services they fell behind on rent payments. Despite the hardships during the last year Geridette and Jerry kept the cleaners open. To make sure we (their customers) could still have their clothes cleaned.  Even with less demand they never once raised their rates because they knew we were all struggling.  To offset the lack of revenue.   Geridette started working full time at Amazonworking nights. She would work all day at the cleaners sleep for an hour or two and work all night.  Doing this caused her to have some health issues. Despite her declining health Geri kept going until she physically couldn’t. She ended up having to leave Amazon, which made her lose her health insurance.   She is no longer able to get the care she needs.

during this last year their property management company was working with them to allow them to remain where they currently are. Well, now AFC property management is demanding $44,000 in rent and late fees.

Why am I telling you all this? It’s because The Jerry’s are the kindest, most giving people I have ever met. They go above and beyond for their community. They are HUGE supporters of our states First Responders. They deliver uniforms to almost all districts of the Denver Police Dept, Northglenn, Thornton, Commerce City Adam’s County, and many, many others! They offer discounted rates for 1st responders. Free dry cleaning for funerals, job interviews and schools that need their uniforms cleaned whether it’s for the football team, the band, spirit squad and every group in between. The Jerry’s are always the first to step up and help out when anyone needs help.  I worry not only about their health issues, but them also losing their house because they lose their business.

To help keep the lights on at home but especially the cleaners, they have taken to selling gently used books on Amazon. The outpouring of live and support they have received thus far hasbeen amazing, but it’s not enough. I’m asking for help from us (their community) to donate money so that they can remain in business and get back on their feet.   If you’ve ever utilized their services, you know you walk in a customer, and walk out family! Let’s come together to support these two Earth Angels who’ve supported us for 25+ years!
